British Man Injured in Pamplona Running of the Bulls Festival

The Price of Tradition: A Deadly Festival in Spain The running of the bulls, an annual spectacle in Pamplona, has claimed its share of injuries and near fatalities once again this year.

In addition to a British man in his 80s who was injured, two Spaniards were gored on the final day, and at least 57 people suffered various types of harm.

The event's history is marked by a darker side, despite its rich cultural heritage and Hemingway esque allure. Over the past 116 years, no fewer than 16 deaths have occurred during the runs.
