Colorectal Cancer Screening's Hidden Value A recent Swedish study has found that people who participate in colorectal cancer screening have a 43% lower risk of dying from the disease.

But the findings also suggest that simply receiving an invitation to screen can reduce mortality risk by 26%, raising questions about the role of awareness and education in public health campaigns.

The study, which followed over 376,000 people for up to 14 years, recorded 1,668 deaths from colorectal cancer.
